What is the thickness of the stainless steel pipe?
Source: Date: 2021-06-01
The material stainless steel is relatively popular in life. Indeed, stainless steel can bring a lot of help to people's lives, and it will be more convenient to use. Stainless steel is divided into different models. Stainless steel pipe is divided into a welded and seamless one. The welded stainless steel tubes are welded with stainless steel strips and have approximately uniform wall thickness. Seamless stainless steel tubes are produced by stretching and often have uneven wall thickness.

Here is the content list:

Stainless steel pipe wall thickness standard

Stainless steel pipe is a kind of pipe fittings, stainless steel raw material is it made so called fittings, it includes: stainless steel elbow, stainless steel tee, cross stainless steel, stainless steel reducer, stainless steel pipe cap, etc., based on the coupling method can be divided into the socket type fittings, flanges threaded fittings, stainless steel pipe and welded fittings four classes. Primary stainless steel raw materials: 304, 304L, 316L, 316L.

Standard: 1. Round tube: Φ1 ~1200mm, thickness :0.15~25.0mm; 2. Square tube :2*2~150*150 mm, thickness :0.3~6.0 mm; 3. Torque tube :5*10~150*200 mm, thickness :0.3~6.0 mm; 4. Elliptical tube :15*30-147*280mm, thickness :0.3-5.0mm; 5. Flat ellipse tube :15*25-63*213mm, thickness :0.3-5.0mm

Causes of uneven thickness of stainless steel pipe

Stainless steel pipe is divided into welded one and seamless one. The welded stainless steel tubes are welded with stainless steel strips and have approximately uniform wall thickness. Seamless stainless steel tubes are produced by stretching and often have uneven wall thickness. Machine rolling line perforation is not correct, the inclination of the two rollers is not equal, or the shrinkage before the print head is too small, the wall thickness is not uniform. Usually, it is distributed in a spiral along the entire length of the steel tube. In the process of winding the stainless steel pipe, the center roll is opened too fast, the center roll is not adjusted properly, the thickness of the piston is not uniform, usually along the entire length of the spiral distribution of steel pipe.

Solution for uneven wall thickness of stainless steel pipe

Adjust the rolling line of the punch machine to make the tilt angle of the two rollers equal, and adjust the laminator according to the parameters given by the rolling table. In both cases, the opening time of the centering roller should be adjusted according to the outlet speed of the seamless tube and stainless steel tube. In the laminating process, the centering roller should not be opened too fast to prevent the upper rod from stirring and resulting in uneven wall thickness. The opening of the centering roll must be adjusted appropriately according to the capillary diameter and the offset of the capillary must be taken into account.

MinStar's stainless steel pipe inventory includes seamless and welded tubes that have been cold-worked annealed and pickled within a range of true diameters and lengths. They are popular in many applications, from mining and manufacturing to the oil and gas and foodservice industries.
